Magnet tool (default): Draw a line that follows roads and paths. (Technically the engine behind the Bikemap route planner is used.) Use the line tool whenever the magnet tool doesn’t work (offroad, etc.)
Line tool (click the magnet tool twice): Draw free lines, regardless of roads and paths.
Delete points: Select points, then choose “Delete”.
Return to start point: Join first and last point, either using “Shortest path” (tool from Bikemap route planner) or “Same path back” (returning on the exact same path).
Points of interest: Add photos, drinking water access, accomodation or other points of interest to your route.
Wikipedia points: Show all known wikipedia articles in the map. Click on article to permanently attach it to your route.
Relief Map (map type): Change between relief map and many other map types.
Official routes: Display official cycling infrastructure as mapped in Openstreetmap.
Heatmap: Display a heatmap overlay of the popularity among bikemap users.
Full screen: More space for your editing! Turn it on/off anytime.

Click on a waypoint to delete it, drag it to change its position.

Grab the blue line anywhere to add a new waypoint, drag it to change its position.

Right-click the line (or holding the Shift key and left click) to unselect your line. This way you can draw multiple lines that are not connected.
